Keir Bloomer is a well known figure in Scottish local government. His career includes seven years as a chief executive preceded by sixteen in senior positions in education.
He is regarded as one of Scotland's leading educational thinkers and was a member of the group which wrote 'A Curriculum for Excellence', Scotland's national curriculum strategy. He has been involved a very wide range of national educational activities. For six years (up to 2006) he was vice-chair of Learning and Teaching Scotland, Scotland's curriculum development agency. He has a reputation as a writer and public speaker. |
